VIOLET AT NIGHT Every day is another adventure Rose in the morning, violet at night Scream through the streets, “This is my life!” Dream through the making that you’re doing what’s right No one can tell, no one can tell, that you’re going to…. Every day gives you one more try At times you’ll have trouble But there’s no time to cry Sundays riding wishes fast Catch the wind, baby, moving past it No one can tell, no one can tell, that you’re going to…. SOLO No one can tell, no one can tell, that you’re going to…. Every day makes short your youth The kids don’t look back to see where you stood Now that you’re colder, don’t be heartless Been hurt so much I can’t help but be reckless (Won’t you, too?) No one can tell, no one can tell, that you’re going to…. Every day and every night Pray to the heavens or who you might Time to make your brother love you Hate, to make your day turn blue Rose in the morning, violet at night Rose in the morning, violet at night Catch the wind, baby, no time to cry Catch the wind, baby, no time to cry Rose in the morning, violet at night Rose in the morning, violet at night

Meeting of Minds Lady with a smile so bright Take my soul home with you tonight I’ve got plenty of lovers but I’m short of friends I need what I see in your eyes Gentle words, no tears Leave me laughing and leave me Pretend that you love Emptiness in love Taking your time Meeting of minds Aren’t we having fun on the town But that man you’re with is just another drunken clown Lookin’ to steal you for a place on the mantle Just to take you down to handle And you’ll give him your love for the thought But you’ve got nothin’ to show for you bought Pretend that you love Emptiness in love Taking your time Meeting of minds Anyone, send something down Love is here, but emptiness is still around Mama, ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬send something down Love is here, but emptiness is still around Well aren’t we just too polite Our mothers have taught us it wouldn’t be right Buy another round---they’ll be here all night You call this a meeting of minds? You and I can leave this all behind Stop pretending your hands are tied Pretend that you love Emptiness in love Send something down Love is all around Send something down Love is all around Taking your time Meeting of minds

DON’T MAKE ME KISS YOU AGAIN I’ve kissed so many women in my life High and low, toe to toe Eyelash to eyelash, blow by blow Fast and slow, inside and downtown On top of the world Down in the shadows, any way I can On the sand, in the dark Cheek to cheek, head over tails Baby……don’t make me kiss you again. On top of the world And I can’t hold it Don’t make me kiss you again. On top of the world And I can’t hold it In the air, through the clouds Tween feathers, round corners Sweat on skin, feeling my way Dancing beat, swell in your heat Don’t make me kiss you again. On top of the world And I can’t hold it Don’t make me kiss you again. On top of the world And I can’t hold it Sentimental, accidental Planted in repose I can’t hold it I Know you mean it Yes I can……spend the night Don’t make me kiss you again…. Feeling my way Don’t make me kiss you again… On top of the world And I can’t hold it Kiss me again Kiss me again Why don’t you Why don’t you kiss me again Baby, kiss me again and again and again Baby, kiss me again Kiss me again…..

COMING DOWN FROM YOUR LOVE Coming down from your love I fell so hard and now I’m unfaithful Unfaithful to you Disgraceful Upbeat, move down! Limelit, spit shine Blue breakers on my feet Inside’s quite a place to meet Oh, callous love Let me laugh about you Oooh let me laugh about you Let me laugh about you Help me understand you Can I feel my way to you Lookin’ up the old friends Well they left the state For a place that would pay Now I’m happy Happy for you Successful 8 to 5, first line Take a bath, hit the rack Back to back Don’t let them catch you smiling You’re firing your best shot Help me understand you Ooooh help me understand you Help me understand you Let me laugh about you Can I feel my way to you Coming down….Coming down from your love

Playland 04:01
PLAYLAND AT THE BEACH Laughing Sal Reach out to me Make me feel free We used to spin around the wheel Without caring how it made us feel We always knew that we’d be thrown That’s how we learned to play alone Laughing Sal Reach out to me Make me feel free Laughing Sal Come home to me Make me feel free Don’t you feel alive? Down to the bone Let’s take this party to a place I know Give me your hand I’ve got something to show The laughing lady’s just a memory now She didn’t like the pay anyhow But her hands seemed to reach out to me She kissed me and made me feel free Laughing Sal Reach out to me Make me feel free Laughing Sal Come home to me Make me feel free I never meant to run you down that hard We didn’t think we’d leave such ugly scars The windy road scared me to death Holding you helped me catch my breath Laughing Sal Reach out to me Make me feel free Laughing Sal Come home to me Make me feel free, yeah You and me. You’re the one I love. You and me, Sal You’re the one I love.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN TOWN BLUES You said you’re gonna leave me forever You cried cause things ain’t got no better Well I’ve got news for you, too I’m headed out on the next plane at noon Cause I’m tired of this life And I can’t handle these Rocky Mountain town blues Well there ain’t no way For me to make it through one more day, NO! Cause I’m tired of this life And I can’t handle these Rocky Mountain town blues How could we be so mean to each other? Bartender, hit me with another My girl used to treat me so good But lately all’s been misunderstood It’s time to move along There’s no way I’ll ever get used to singing her song Well there’s no more flame in this fire No turnin’ back, got no desire It’s time to move along There’s no way I’ll ever get used to singing her song My friends’ve been telling me ‘bout the fall I’ll send you a letter—it’s no use to call Cause listenin’ to you is like What I’d expect to hear from the wall You can keep what I paid in dues Just leave me be with my Rocky Mountain town blues Well there ain’t no way For me to make it through one more day, NO! Cause I’m tired of this life And I can’t handle these Rocky Mountain town blues Cause I’m tired of this life And I can’t handle these Rocky Mountain town blues Cause I’m tired of this life And I can’t handle these Rocky Mountain town blues
